Dear [Elected Official’s Name],

I am writing to you in horror and urgency as Israel continues its deliberate daily bombing campaign against displacement camps across Gaza. On 16 April, Israel bombed a tent sheltering displaced people in Khan Younis, killing 15 people, including children. Hours later, in the middle of the night, another airstrike hit a displacement camp in Beit Lahiya, killing 7 people, 6 of them from the same family.

These tents are not military targets. They are makeshift shelters housing families and the wounded, who fled Israeli bombardment and sought refuge in areas Israel itself declared “safe.”

Since 15 April, there have been at least 7 separate strikes on displacement tents, including a field hospital:

  • 15 April: Israel bombs the Kuwaiti Field Hospital, killing a healthcare worker and injuring others.
  • 15 April: Tents bombed in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis.
  • 16 April: A tent near Gaza City bombed—at least one person killed.
  • 16 April: Another tent in Khan Younis bombed—casualties remain unconfirmed.
  • 16 April: Israel bombs tents in Khan Younis again, killing 15 people.
  • 16 April: Tents in Beit Lahiya bombed—7 people killed.
  • 17 April: Tents in Jabalia refugee camp bombed—at least 7 people killed.

This is a systematic and deliberate pattern, not an accident. After bombing homes, schools, and hospitals, Israel is now striking overcrowded displacement tents—temporary shelters packed with families who have nowhere left to go.

Since 2 March, Israel has blocked all aid, including food, water, medicine, and hygiene supplies, while accelerating its illegal annexation plans. This is not chaos—it is deliberate. It is the planned extermination of a people.

What has unfolded in Gaza is collective punishment and genocide. These are war crimes. Condemnation is not enough.

I urge you to act now:

  • Impose a two-way arms and trade embargo on Israel.
  • End diplomatic relations with the apartheid regime.
  • Recognise a Palestinian state.
  • Demand an international investigation and accountability for war crimes.

Please do not remain complicit through silence. Israel is killing people every single day.

Your constituent,
