At 2 AM, without warning, Israel launched a relentless bombing campaign across the entire Gaza Strip, massacring over 404 people as they slept. Most of those killed were women, children, and the elderly. Entire families were wiped out last night in Gaza.

Israeli warplanes targeted residential buildings, schools, and public facilities that had turned into evacuation centres—places filled with thousands of civilians seeking refuge.  

Israel had repeatedly broken the ceasefire agreement, including the killing of 150 Palestinians and refusing to move to the next stage which would agree on a permanent ceasefire. 

After indiscriminately bombing Gaza, Israel has now issued new forced displacement orders for, Beit Hanoun, Khirbet Khuza’a, Abasan al-Kabira and Abasan al-Jadida.

Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, in full view of the world – as multiple UN experts and investigations have now concluded. This is not a conflict—it is the deliberate, systematic destruction and extermination of an entire people. No government that claims to support human rights can remain complicit in this atrocity.

Sanctions against other states have proven effective in halting egregious human rights abuses; they must be applied here. A two-way trade and arms embargo and an end to diplomatic relations with the apartheid state is essential.

We must recognise a Palestinian state immediately to commit to a lasting peace and an end to the illegal occupation. This is a call for international law to be upheld and basic human rights for all to be protected.

Normalisation with Israel must end. This is not just a matter of foreign policy—it is a moral imperative. Every moment of inaction enables the continuation of these war crimes. History will remember where you stood.
