UN: “Extermination” of Palestinians in Gaza / 50 Children Killed in Israeli Attack on Jabalia refugee camp / Immediate Intervention Required: Civilians Under Siege in Gaza / Demand Sanctions & End of Weapons Sales Now

Dear [Elected Official’s Name],

I am writing to urge immediate and decisive action to stop the intensifying slaughter of civilians in Gaza. Israel has escalated its attacks over the past 24 hours, killing at least 39 people in central Gaza, and 84 in residential buildings in Jabalia refugee camp, including 50 children.

Nuseirat is facing relentless bombardment from Israeli fighter jets and artillery, as well as targeted drone strikes on civilians fleeing for safety. This escalation of drone warfare—deliberately targeting people on foot in overcrowded residential areas—is creating a devastating humanitarian catastrophe. Families fleeing to nearby towns are facing constant threat, with reports of civilians on foot being pursued and bombed.

These relentless attacks come amid Israel’s continued blockade on food, water, and medical supplies, ensuring survivors of their attacks will die from starvation, disease and injuries. With Gaza’s healthcare system targeted and decimated, hospitals are unable to treat the wounded, and even the simplest medical procedures are becoming impossible. A recent United Nations report identified Israel’s continued targeting of healthcare facilities as constituting “the crime against humanity of extermination.” These assaults on hospitals, coupled with the daily bombardment of residential areas, are creating unspeakable suffering.

Israel must be sanctioned for its crimes. A full arms embargo and a two-way trade embargo must be enforced until Israel ceases its illegal occupation, blockade and human rights violations in the region; this will also add pressure for a ceasefire. Recognising the State of Palestine and supporting the prosecution of war crimes is essential.

I look forward to your commitment to upholding international law through these actions.
