Israel Airstrikes Police Car in Gaza – Ceasefire Violations Escalate / Israel’s Ceasefire Violations Are Mounting / Israel Still Blocking Medical and Humanitarian Aid into Gaza / Israel’s War Crimes Continue amidst “Ceasefire”
Dear [Elected Official’s Name],
On Sunday, February 16th, Israeli drones targeted a police car in Rafah, killing three officers assigned to secure humanitarian aid deliveries into Gaza. This attack was a deliberate strike on personnel safeguarding aid supplies from UNRWA, UNICEF, and other humanitarian organisations.
This is not an isolated incident. Israel has systematically attacked aid workers and Interior Ministry security personnel tasked with facilitating humanitarian relief. Today’s strike follows a pattern of drone attacks and direct targeting of those trying to help a starving population survive.
Israel’s Ceasefire Violations Are Mounting:
Another Israeli airstrike targeted a car near the Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza
Critical humanitarian aid remains blocked. Israel continues to restrict the entry of oxygen for hospitals, mobile shelters, and vital supplies for displaced families.
Hospitals are collapsing, and starvation is spreading due to Israel’s continued deliberate obstruction of aid.
This is not a ceasefire.
The targeting of aid workers and the blocking of essential supplies amounts to war crimes. The international community cannot continue to turn a blind eye while Israel violates its own agreements.
As your constituent, I urge you to take immediate action. A full arms embargo will ensure weapons manufactured in our country will not contribute to further bloodshed, nor uphold Israel’s system of apartheid (as concluded by the ICJ).
Sanctions against other states have proven effective in halting egregious human rights abuses; they must be applied here. A two-way trade embargo, and an end to all diplomatic relations with the state on trial for genocide and whose leaders are wanted war criminals at the ICC is the bare minimum.
We must recognise a Palestinian state immediately to commit to a lasting peace and ending the illegal occupation. This is a call for international law to be upheld and basic human rights for all to be protected.
Palestinians are being starved and killed under the guise of a “ceasefire.” Will you stand by while this continues, or will you take action to stop it?
Your constituent,
