[Elected Official’s Name],
In the early hours of
7 September 2025, Israel
bombed Al-Farabi School, a nearby tent camp, and a residential house in Gaza City. These three massacres killed at least 17 people, including 6 children.
Al-Farabi School, which was being used as a shelter for displaced civilian families, was struck by two rockets at around 3AM, killing 8 people. Israel has continually targeted shelters in the dead of night, when they are busiest, maximising fatalities. One image from the aftermath shows a child lying lifeless on the pavement, his brain outside his body.
“We have recovered two hands so far. As you can see, these are children’s hands.” Mohammed Ayed was a witness to the bombing of Al-Farabi School.
In just 700 days, Israel has extensively damaged or completely destroyed
91% of schools in Gaza. Every single university has been destroyed. At least
741 teachers and education staff have been killed. At least
17,237 students have been killed. More than
2,308 schools, universities, education facilities, and kindergartens have been erased.
The inaction of the international community enables Israel’s crimes to continue. Israel has been classified as an
apartheid state, and legal experts have overwhelmingly affirmed that Israel is
committing genocide.
How many more schools, hospitals, kindergartens, and playgrounds must Israel bomb before the world acts?
You must take immediate action.
I urge you to:
- Impose full, comprehensive sanctions on Israel.
- Enforce a complete two-way trade embargo, ending all import and export activity.
- Immediately end all arms sales and intelligence cooperation.
- Ensure unimpeded access for aid and humanitarian organisations, and suspend GHF’s deadly “aid” sites.
- Un-recognise Israel as legitimate state
