Dear [Elected Official’s Name],
I am writing to you as Israel’s annihilation of Gaza continues, while the world’s attention moves elsewhere. The last densely crowded homes are being bombed, displaced people are being burnt alive in tents, massacres continue at so-called “aid” sites, and 2 million people are still being starved to death.
Since May 27th, Israel has killed at least 413 people and injured over 3,000 at their “aid” sites in Gaza, as Palestinians line up for food. In most documented attacks, Israeli forces have opened fire using tank shells, machine guns and drones. Doctors at Nasser Hospital say many of the wounded are “shredded to pieces” — too mutilated to identify.
In Al-Mawasi, Israel continues targeting the tents of displaced families – burning entire families alive. The tent massacre that briefly horrified the world in June is now near-daily. Normalised. Ignored. With almost zero media coverage.
As of 4:30PM in Gaza on 19th June, Israel had killed at least 84 people so far that day alone.
94% of hospitals in Gaza have been damaged, bombed, or flattened. They have been raided, doctors and nurses executed, patients buried alive, a ward of sick babies left to starve to death, and their bodies left to rot after Israeli forces forced staff to abandon them.
Over 92% of homes in Gaza have been flattened in Israeli strikes.
Top genocide scholars unanimously agree that Israel’s actions meet the legal threshold of genocide.
621 days of genocide. You have an obligation under international to prevent genocide.
I call on you to ensure the government:
Failure to act is complicity. Words are not actions. Sanctions now. End genocide.
