Despite
tens of thousands of Palestinians killed by Israel, with some estimates placing the true toll in the
hundreds of thousands, the UK government continues to deepen its ties with the ICJ-designated
apartheid state that has spent two years committing what the UN has
concluded is a genocide. While the rate of annihilation may have slowed, it is far from over. Since the “ceasefire” began on October 10, Israel has killed
240 people and injured 607 others.
Israeli customs data shows that in August 2025, over
100,000 bullets were shipped from Britain to Israel, with UK arms exports that month valued at roughly £150,000, about $201,000. In June 2025 alone, Israel received £408,000, approximately $547,000,
worth of weapons from the UK, the highest monthly figure since records began in January 2022.
The Ministry of Defence is now considering awarding a £2 billion, 15-year Army Collective
Training Service contract to Elbit Systems UK, a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Limited,
Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer. Elbit supplies
85 percent of the drones used by Israeli forces and was named by the UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories in July 2025 as central to Israel’s genocide campaign in Gaza.
Six British MPs have tabled a motion, EDM 1784, calling on the government to block this contract with Elbit Systems. So far, 34 MPs have signed, and I implore you to pledge your support.
We must end British complicity in apartheid, occupation, and genocide.
You must:
- Support the EDM 1784 motion to block the Elbit contract.
- Impose full, comprehensive sanctions on Israel.
- Enforce a complete two-way trade embargo, ending all import and export activity.
- Immediately end all arms sales and intelligence cooperation.
- Ensure unimpeded access for aid and humanitarian organisations.
