Release Palestinian Hostages: “Systematic R*pe and Sexual Torture in Israeli Detention”
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights has released testimonies from Palestinian hostages who endured systematic rape and sexual torture in Israeli detention. More than 9,100 Palestinians, including over 400 children, are currently captive in Israeli jails and detention camps.
“They put me on a metal table, pressed my chest and head against it, cuffed my hands to the end of the bed, and pulled my legs apart forcefully.
I felt a p*nis penetrating my anus and a man r*ping me. I started screaming, and they beat me on my back and head while I was blindfolded. I felt the man who was r*ping me ejaculate inside my an*s. I kept screaming and being beaten, and I could hear a camera—so I believe they were filming me.”
The woman’s testimony continues, describing how just one hour later she was r*ped and beaten again. The woman was then r*ped twice again the next day. “On the third day, I remained without clothes while they looked at me through the door slit and filmed me. One soldier said they would post my photos on social media.”
In another case, a 35-year-old Palestinian man was held for 19 months, where, in his first weeks at Sde Teiman, he recalls the use of dogs to sexually abuse him and other captives.
“Soldiers brought dogs that climbed on us and urinated on me. Then one of the dogs r*ped me—the dog did it deliberately (trained), knowing exactly what it was doing, and inserted its p*nis into my an*s, while the soldiers kept beating and torturing us and spraying pepper spray in our faces.”
A 41-year-old man, abducted and held hostage for 22 months, described Israeli soldiers using a wooden stick to r*pe him.
An 18-year-old detailed soldiers using a bottle to r*pe him and six other detainees. “It happened to me four times, with about ten in-and-out motions each time. I screamed, and so did the others with me. Of the four times, twice it was just me, and twice it was with others—once with six people and once with twelve people.”
These testimonies are just a few of the hundreds being documented from Palestinians released from Israeli detention camps.
More than 9,100 Palestinians, including over 400 children, remain in Israeli detention. The experiences of torture, rape, and abuse are not isolated incidents.
You must intervene now and demand their release.
